Selected assignment · China to Ghana

A fixed deadline. A deeply personal priority.

Custom memorial gifts had to be produced in China and delivered to Ghana in time for a funeral. This was a personal assignment for a confidential client based in Accra, not an enterprise transformation project.

The challenge

The gifts required customised production, consistent quality and delivery against an immovable date. Standard shipping could not meet the required deadline.

Baffoe’s role

  • Clarified the client’s requirements and coordinated manufacturing and logistics partners.
  • Managed production remotely through detailed specifications and online verification.
  • Worked with the client to approve an expedited shipping option after production.
  • Coordinated customs preparation and the selected route with logistics partners, while keeping the client informed.

The reported outcome

The original published case records that the gifts arrived in Ghana on time and as requested. It describes an approved 24-hour express shipment following a week of production. This was an assignment-specific arrangement, not a standard delivery promise for future shipments.

Why the approach matters

The transferable discipline is practical: clarify the non-negotiable deadline, make cost and delivery trade-offs explicit, coordinate responsibilities and follow through. The same questions are relevant to a business workstream, although its scale, controls and resources must be assessed separately.

Evidence note: This summary is drawn from Baffoe’s previously published case account. No independently audited performance figures or quantified cost savings are presented. Client identity remains confidential.
